We celebrated my husband’s and his brother’s birthdays with his family this month and I suggested we have the Unlimited Yum Cha at Jasmine in New World Makati. Jasmine, I believe, has the best unlimited dimsum in Manila and we discovered it through the invitation of Nonstopbabble Patty’s friend Nini Icban of New World a few months back. It’s only P695 per head, inclusive of soup, soda or iced tea, dimsum and dessert. It’s even available during weekends, which was when we went.
We brought the kids, who ate the ma-chang, spring rolls and spare ribs. We didn’t need to pay for them since they ate very little. I’m glad Jasmine didn’t charge us, unlike how other restaurants would. After they ate, they sat on the sofa area right behind our table but separated by a wooden screen. It was pretty nice to have that lounge area near the restaurant. Their receptionist even chatted up the girls.
While we were there, I remembered New World had a photo contest, called I Heart New World, so I asked the girls and my husband to make hearts while I took photos of them.
Another discovery outside of the unlimited yum cha is that Jasmine offers free peking duck for dinner if you order the set menu for a party of 6! (Now, if only we could get out at night, hahaha.)
I super love Jasmine. The price is so reasonable. The dimsum was really good and the restaurant was really lovely. I will keep going back for more and will aim for a night out with friends for that free peking duck.
New World has the most unique function rooms too. I’ll talk more about it on the blog tomorrow!
