Earlier today M (the 4yo) was giving N (the 7mo baby) some toys. N would put it in her mouth, drop it and look down at it on the floor with much amazement. (I guess she was figuring out cause and effect.) Because it fell on the floor already, M would give N a new toy and the cycle would repeat.
ME: Look M, N is learning about gravity!
M: Oh yeah. (Sounding like she knows what I’m talking about.)
ME: So what is gravity?
M: It’s when you can’t put something in your mouth again.
