2011 Dirtiest Hotels by Trip Advisor

Whenever I walk into a hotel room, I am armed with my BAND-AID 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (only the 70% alcohol can kill 99.99% of viruses).  The first thing I do before unpacking is spray and wipe everything that has most likely been touched by the previous guest — door knobs, light switches, remote control devices, telephones, faucet and shower handles.

However, I do not think my BAND-AID alcohol weapon of virus destruction will be able to withstand these hotel rooms listed by Trip Advisor.  Thank you to my friend Tanya (or should I really thank you for embedding this in my brain???) for sending me this link to post on the blog:

2011’s Dirtiest Hotels by Trip Advisor

Don’t click the link around meal times!!  It is SOOOO gross.  And more importantly, don’t book with these hotels!

I am reminded of our BKK trip with RB — you remember that hotel room?! Good god! Why is it not on the list?! I don’t think we disinfected it enough.

    • You’re right. I think that was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, in my life. And what’s worse was what our office mates witnessed in their hotel room. Ewwwwww. I cannot bear to remember.

I should have taken more detailed pictures of the strange places I stayed in when I backpacked through Europe. Back then grime was called “charm.” 😉

3 words for you – portable UV wand. Save yourself and your sanity. Then go out and eat the local street food and get hepa. Hahaha!!!

    • You seriously bring your UV wand on your trips? How big is yours? Because I accidentally had my SIL buy me the one that looks like those metal detectors the guards use in the malls to check your bag.

Besides, I don’t think UV wands will work against cockroaches, brown tap water and filthy carpets. I have blocked out the other dirty things mentioned. I cannot even think about them further. *cringe* *cringe*
